Best kept secret in brick and mortar app history

Customer service fail today. Home Depot… tsk tsk tsk….. I go to home depot all the time. Though I prefer Lowes, Home Depot has better prices. Every time I go there to look for something specific, its like searching for a needle in a haystack. I dont think theres ever been a time where I walked into that store, quickly found what I needed and left with no issues. When I ask the sales associates to help me… they usually point me in the right direction each time. Mind you, I usually have to tackle their sales associates to the ground to force them to help me, i get help.

So, the service failure amongst other things is that in my history as a Home Depot customer, not one of their sales reps have enlightened me by showing me how awesome their iPhone app is…..Omg!!! The Home Depot app is theeeeee best kept secret in brick and mortar app history. I would say this app is second to the Starbucks app when it comes to convenience. It is full of insanely useful features including one where you can upload a picture of the item youre looking for and the app recognizes it and, get this…. it pulls up a store map so that you can easily locate the item on your own inside any Home Depot store. I recently (1st part of May) went online and ordered an electric lawn mower and de-thatcher. On May 18th I was told only part of my order was there due to an incompetent truck driver who either sold my mower or gave it to the wrong store. During the conversation with the Customer Service who reordered it immediately an told me it be here this week. When I went to check the status of my order , one person told me that the ordering process still hadnt been completed and that my mower was still waiting to be shipped. Of course this tick me off so I demanded to talk to a supervisor and was told well yes it was in transit but Id have to wait possibly into June because of the holiday. Home Depot evidently punishes their customers for the incompetence of the employees normally this wouldnt have tick me off but something else I ordered but was small so I had it shipped to my apartment only to have their delivery company decide to not deliver until the next day meaning Id have to waste another day waiting to sign for the delivery.

Then they want me to give favorable feedback on my purchase. One question was would I recommend HD ONLINE SALES to my family or friends. As it stands after three orders within a year between me and my wife being screwed up, I wouldnt recommend them to any of my family but probably would to people I dont like. So none the less when I was leaving the out of the parking lot, I notice the lady who was originally scanning me out, following me to my car to make sure I was leaving. After I had left my 10 year old son had said when I was picking up my two year old daughter to carry her away from self check out the girl who was checking me out was giving me dirty looks in a rude manner like I was a criminal trying to use somebodies social and ID number. None the less, I will be canceling my credit card and switching to Lowes
